My Story

Shep is a handsome black & tan male GSD, about 1 ½ to 2 years old. He was brought to the Hazlehurst Animal Shelter for chasing cats. Shep is very sweet and calm, according to the shelter volunteers. They are falling in love with him. He walks well on a leash and is great with people & kids. He knows sit and lay down and is a smart boy. He likes female dogs. However, he does not do well with other male dogs. Smaller dogs are also not a good match for Shep. A home with another large female dog, or as an only dog would be the best fit. It is possible he is dominant to other male dogs. Shep is neutered & current on Rabies vaccination. He is healthy but tested a very light HW positive. This means he must be kept on HW preventive, but does not require treatment. To meet Shep, contact Julia at [email protected]. She is a shelter volunteer. GSDRGA has not met Shep, so all inquiries should be directed to her. Shep will be adopted by the shelter.
