My Story

Update 1/13/2007

Sheldon has arrived in Maine and is in foster care! Stay tuned for more on Sheldon!

Update 1/17/2006

I am doing great in my new foster home! I have had no housetraining setbacks and I am getting along with all the other dogs in the household. I'm not sure what to make of this white stuff on the ground though!

My favorite toy is a tennis ball. I will even toss it myself if no one is available to toss it for me, how's that for self sufficiant? I am a real little heartwarmer!

I am a great little dog. I am housetrained and quite in the house (rare for a Beagle!). I like other dogs and cats are OK (if I must). I do like kids, but I don't like to be bothered when I am napping. So respectful kids who can understand this would be best for me.

The vet thinks I might be around 7 or 8 years old, but Beagles can live to be 20, so I still have a loooong life ahead of me! I do have a little lump on my rear. The vet told my foster Mom, that in might turn into a hernia...but it hasn't yet, and that was over a year ago. I am up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, and even have had my teeth cleaned! I am a package deal! So here's a call to all you Beagle lovers out there! Come and get me!

All dogs will be tested for Heartworm prior to adoption. Almost Home Rescue will process your adoption. Applications can be found at www.almosthomerescue.net and can be e-mailed to [email protected]

These animals are in dire need of homes. If you cannot provide a home, sponsors are welcome and needed for heartworm treatment and/or other medical expenses for dogs coming to New England. Foster families are also needed from time to time. Fostering a healthy dog or one that is in treatment will also save lives!

We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England. The adoption fee is $250.00 for altered dogs. $350. for unaltered puppies, with $100 refundable after spay/neuter. All Senior dogs 6 years or older have a reduced adoption fee of $200. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR) For more information, please visit our webpage at www.almosthomerescue.net
