Shelby

Shelby is about one and a half years old and 25 lbs. Our best guess of what she is, is a corgi terrier mix. Shelby came to us as a pregnant stray and we knew we had to help her have her kids in safety. We are convinced she was someone's pet who may have lost her because she is so extremely lovable with a great temperament. Her nine babies were born mid-March and have all found loving homes and now it's time for this mama to be loved and spoiled in a forever home of her own. She was an amazing mother always caring for and playing with all of her puppies and was especially trusting of humans around them. Shelby has a lot of energy and loves other dogs, so she would love to be in a home with another dog, or if not, in a home where she can play and have a fenced in yard to chase a ball and burn out all of her energy. She loves to run. She is ok with cats if they want to play with her but not if she cannot interact with them. She does love chewy toys and can get a little anxious without you, but does go into her crate on her own to rest and at night she sleeps without a peep. She takes correction very well responding to a firm no, and responds to her name when you call for her.
