My Story

Sheba has been re-united with her family:
"Sheba no longer requires a new family. After 7 months, she has been reunited with her original family. It is a long, sad, strange story, but it is clear that they love her and she loves them, and it appears that "never say never" is appropriate in some cases. We all wish Sheba the best life has to offer. I hope she lives a joyful year for every long month she spent here with us."

Please let this be a reminder to never give up on a lost pet and to always keep looking as they are out there somewhere and will likely still be waiting for you to find them.

Please visit the Vancouver Animal Shelter (VAS) at 1280 Raymur Street in Vancouver, or call 604-871-6888 to meet Sheba or find out more about her. Or e-mail shelter staff at City of Vancouver Animal Control Shelter & Services [email protected].

Sheba came in badly matted and she is now sporting a stylish Portuguese Water Dog Cut. Her fur will grow in quickly and she'll be back to being beautiful in no time.
Sheba can be barky in her kennel to strangers and is friendly when she's out for walks. She loves treats too! She has the chubby cheecks of a Sharpei, but the wavy coat of a Retriever - where the curled tail comes in, we're not sure?!?!
Sheba is not good with other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home.
