Shayna -adopted

Shayna recently had surgery to remove some painful toes. When Shayna came to us she had been injured by another dog leaving some toes in terrible condition. She had some amputations already but unfortunately she needed more surgery. We are waiting to find out if her hip will require surgery but won't know for another 2-3 weeks.

Meet Shayna! This sweet little girl will make a great addition to any family! Shayna is very friendly and affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses. During her time with her current foster family, she has learned a great respect for cats and gets along well with other dogs of all ages and sizes. Shayna’s exposure to children has been limited but each experience has been very positive.

Shayna is both house and crate trained (at night and during working hours), has good leash manners and knows basic commands. She would be a great candidate for obedience classes (Rally-O) as she is very food motivated and likes to receive praise. Shayna has had a tough start to life but is definitely ready to settle into her ‘forever’ home. Shayna is missing several toes on her hind feet from an incident with another dog prior to coming to New Hope. While Shayna will not have great endurance she will be able to function well in most capacities.

Shayna is a very attentive girl who loves unconditionally, welcomes everyone that she meets and will make a great lifelong companion.
