My Story

Shark is a courtesy post and not a member of our group. For more information please contact: 410-323-1118, ext. 1278 (Nancy Sherman) I am going back to college in the fall and my living arrangements, school schedule, and the needs of a growing dog, do not allow me to take my much-loved, professionally puppy-trained, beautiful brindle pit bull puppy back with me. “Shark” needs a good home in Baltimore – preferably a home that would allow some visits. “Shark” is a nearly six-month old neutered male with all of his vaccinations up-to-date. He is a gentle, playful, quick learner who is well-socialized. “Shark” has been pampered and given lots of attention and practice in his early training. “Shark” is crate-trained, house-trained, and walks well on a “gentle leader” leash. He is submissive to and plays well with other dogs that he meets on his daily walks and visits to the park. He is friendly with children as well as adults, and even at his young age is becoming a “nicely settled” dog with a good temperament that has adjusted well to the routines of the house – meals, walks, play time, resting on his pillow, etcetera. He is exceedingly bright – has a big vocabulary and enjoys being responsive to and obeying commands (example, “walk easy,” “sit,” “sit for the street,” “down,” “stay,” “off,” “ stay by me,” “let’s go,” etcetera. Since we live in Guilford, another important “command” is “that’s a garden” – when Shark hears these words, he comes away from flower beds, front yard lawns, and the like, to walk in the grass at curbside.) At about 25 pounds currently, he is a handsome black, gray, and tan brindle with unique markings.“Shark” would be a great pet for a family or single owner who is knowledgeable about the dog breed and has the time and desire to work consistently with him through adulthood. Inquiries are welcome at 410-323-1118, ext. 1278 (Nancy Sherman). Offers considered to help defray already incurred expenses of “Shark’s” puppy immunizations and general well-puppy care.
