Shani is one of the Olympic Puppies born (3/01/06) to Esther, a Cream and Black German Shepherd who was rescued Very Pregnant. Esther watched the Winter Olympics with her foster mom each evening. We thought it fitting to name each of Esther’s puppies after an American Olympic Athlete.
Shani is named after 2006 Olympic Speed Skating athlete, Shani Davis.
2006 Olympic champion at 1,000-meters, becoming the first black athlete to win an individual gold medal in Olympic Winter Games history.
Earned a silver medal in the 1,500-meters at the 2006 Torino Games.
Considers his mother to be the greatest influence on him because "she has always been there for me."
Shani is an active happy little guy who loves to snuggle.
Shani enjoys playing with his siblings.
As a Shepherd / Lab Mix, Shani will make a wonderful loyal, fun loving and intelligent companion for anyone.
Shani will only be adopted to a home where he will be a valued inside family member.
