Shaggy - limited vision

Meet Shaggy#2. This poor senior boy was surrendered to a local animal Humane Society when is owner moved and did not want to take him along. Shaggy#2 has cataracts, so he does not see well. He teeth were a mess. He only ate cat food most of his life. Now he is getting his medical and dental needs taken care of and he is slowing learning to trust his new environment. Shaggy#2 gets along with other dogs and does not bother cats. He know how to sit and shake. Shaggy#2 is also house trained. Shaggy#2 is about 11 years old and 35 pounds. Please help Shaggy#2 find a loving safe home to live out his senior years. Update: During his vet visit, Shaggy was also found to have some asthma. The vet placed him on over the counter Benadryl which he will need to be on for the rest of his life. Because of this, it is felt he would not be a good candidate to undergo anesthesia for any cataract surgery. *Please note we currently have two dogs with similar names. Please refer to this dog as Shaggy#2 when filling out your application or emailing to avoid any confusions or delays in processing.* We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
