Shadow is known for his gentle demeanor and low energy level. Shadow is happiest on the couch where he is able to soak in the outside world through the window. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t enjoy the occasional longer walk as well as the outdoors! Since Shadow is a bit low energy he doesn’t usually initiate play with other dogs, however he gets along well with them and would enjoy the company of a furry friend his size. At home Shadow is a well behaved gentleman! He has shown no signs of destructive behavior or excessive barking, making him an easy housemate. He is also very good in the car, so you can take him along on your adventures. When it comes to the basics Shadow has got them almost all down. Whilst he may need some recall training and help to polish some of his basics, he is a very intelligent guy. He is potty trained, walks well on a leash other than a bit of pulling, he also knows how to sit and shake. Whilst Shadow does bark at new people entering the house he eventually settles down. Shadow is very food motivated, which makes him a joy to train. He does have a tendency of resource guarding his food and treats, which may not make him the best fit for a family with younger children. Shadow would thrive in a calm household with older individuals or couples who can provide him with the attention and love he craves. He enjoys being near his human companions and would do well with someone who is home often.
