SHADOW

This beautiful, soulful-eyed girl is named Shadow and she comes to us from the NWT. She was a year old May 2024. Shadow is thriving and learning so much in her foster home - she loves her foster brothers!! We have discovered that Shadow is not comfortable in busy settings and needs slower introductions to change, especially if she doesn't have another confident dog with her. City life is scary (isn't it for most of us??). Shadow is currently being fostered in Chilliwack and is doing well with the mix of quiet suburban and forest/river area. She is a lovely girl--sweet, kind and gentle so, please keep reading... Shadow has an amazing personality, she is fun-loving and quirky. She is shy when meeting you and needs you to have a bit of patience, all good things come to those who wait! Her forever family will need to understand that Shadow is not going to be the dog you can take everywhere, she is happy to couch it at home while you adventure out into the world doing your shopping, having coffee etc....but if you are hiking in the forest, going to the river, kicking back camping or hanging with other dogs, cats or even horses, she is happy to participate. Shadow missed a proper imprinting period as a young pup and things unknown to her are scary, BUT does far better with a buddy next to her ~ so we are looking for a match for her that has another friendly, social dog. Note: Shadow's foster family has 3 dogs and several cats and Shadow adores them all! Shadow is afraid of children as they can move pretty fast. She is great with moving to another room in her crate if little ones visit.
