Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process. And now a few words about our sweet boy, Shadow... Shadow is a 9 year young guy who weighs 90 lbs. He is very excited to find his furever home, know that he is loved and wanted, and make his humans happy every day. He is SO friendly! He loves all people and enjoys walking up to strangers and saying hello. Shadow has a fun personality, and is a joy to have around and is very satisfied to be relaxing near his person and getting scratches. He will thrive in a home where his humans will give him attention and enjoy the attention he has to give his humans. If you work remotely you are lucky because Shadow happens to be an A+ assistant. Shadow is okay with being an only dog but would also not mind a fur sibling dog his age. Shadow is a more mature gentleman and would like his siblings to be similar. Shadow loves playing fetch with his ball and taking leisurely walks around the neighborhood to find new neighbors to meet. He likes going out and being social but is very happy to go back home. Also, he will never turn down a car ride. Shadow is an incredible dog waiting to give you all the unconditional love you can handle. He can be adopted within a two-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh, PA.
