Have you ever med a Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless dog)? They are extremely rare to cross paths with and even more rare to have in rescue. This breed is known for it loyalty to its humans. We have one! Things did not work out as this breed also is extremely sensitive to stress in the home and was not doing well in his environment. Although his owners tried and tried for months this puppy was failing to thrive and his health was declining as a result. So the decision was made to surrender him and find him a great fit. Senior Gomez is an 8 month old xolo/cane corso mix. He is around 20 lbs and very doubtful he will get much bigger. This dog is a super snuggly and bonds hard with his person. He favors the xolo traits and his personality pretty much matches to a T. Since being with the rescue he is now thriving, and ready for a new life. We will be very picky about placement as he is extremely sensitive to change. and stress. He loves all people and kids, however no kids under age 12 for him. The young ones cause him extreme anxiety. He is on a certain food and it will need to be continued as he simply will not eat anything else offered. We know this because he refused to eat for a couple weeks and lost a bunch of weight until his fav food was purchased. He also will need daily probiotic and daily skin care. These are all normal things for the xolo breed. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON ALL THIS BREED REQUIRES BEFORE INQUIRING. This rare gems fee will help pay for all of our medical dogs we have behind the scenes. His fee much higher than our typical dogs/puppies. We will be doing extensive interviews regarding the breed knowledge and home environment to ensure he will be successful.
