Scubbie

Scubbie (or Scooby) is a sweet boy. Scubbie joined MABBR in 2007 when his mom was rescued. His mom was pit, but he definitely has the double coat of a lab. Sadly, his family’s situation changed and they are no longer able to take care of him, so he has returned to MABBR.

Scubbie is a lover! The first thing he wants every morning is loving - he can't sit still and his tail goes a mile a minute when he thinks it’s time to snuggle! He knows how to sit, lay down and stays and will fly in to his kennel just at the sound of the cookie jar. He will do anything for a cookie! He loves to cuddle on his blanket or bed when he's relaxing around the house and will go lay down on it if you ask him to. Scubbie has had a sister in his house for the past three years and he loves to play with her but is sometimes wary of other dogs. He's not a big fan of the vet or riding in cars, but loves getting baths and doesn't mind too much when he gets his nails trimmed.

Scubbie would love an active family who likes the outdoors - he would never come in, if it were up to him! He will not require a privacy fence as he's easily able to scale the 6 foot fence in his current yard. He would love someone to run with him every day, though and is looking for a new running partner!
