Scrappy

Scrappy isn't getting any younger... This little old man has no teeth, the longest tongue, and the biggest heart (literally and figuratively... he's on medication for his heart murmur). But Scrappy still has some spring in his step and prances when he walks. He's at least 12 years old, lived with a cat and has been really enjoying spending time hanging in an office with various other small dogs. He's a bit anxious at first and paces and whines especially in new environments but seems more content with his doggie friends around and once he figures out a steady routine. He's a heavy sleeper and when he naps he's hard to wake, and we have had some scares where we had to make sure he was breathing and alive. But he always wakes up confused by our concern and poking at him to make sure he's ok and then he's ready for his walks or mealtimes.
