Happy New Year and I hope your holidays were wonderful. My name is Scooter and I am hoping your New Years Resolution is to open your heart and your home to someone sweet and special. Let me tell you about myself.
I am a 2 ½ y/o Boston Terrier with a big heart and endless love. I am a male and neutered. I lived in a home with a lot of stress and tension, which didn’t help my situation. I was diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory Bowel Disease). See with IBD I am not able to consume ordinary, processed dog food. It doesn’t digest well and I end up regurgitating severely. Unfortunately the situation I came from enhanced my condition and they were not patient or able to handle me. They also had small children that were not careful of my condition and would feed me table scraps. Fortunately for me they decided to surrender me to NEBTR to help get me the attention I needed and hopefully place me in a home where I could be taken care of better.
I was placed in the most wonderful environment. My foster home is filled with love, calmness and most of all a loving environment. I had many vet visits and special attention and best of all my foster family transitioned me to a homemade, natural dog food that has been so successful with me. I’ve not had one episode since I’ve been on this new diet. I am so excited because my foster family makes all my food (and for my foster brother and sister too) as well as all their treats. See, they, too had food issues. They even make all their own dog bones/treats, which I love so much.
My foster family has four of their own resident, adopted dogs, and we all get along so well. I have gotten comfortable knowing that with a little love and patience I can be just an ordinary family member. I love to play with my foster siblings and my favorite is Frankie, the French Bulldog. He and I wrestle and play all the time. I love to run in the yard. They call me “speedy Scooter” because I am like a deer on the run when I am in the yard. Shh….Don’t tell any of my siblings, but I get to sleep in bed. Since I am quiet and small I am not even noticed there!!!!
I am now ready to find my forever family. One that will understand my needs and provide me the safety, solitude, and quiet calm atmosphere I really need. I would love to share that with another dog, as I am fun, loving and really get along with all dogs/breeds. Most of all I want a family that I can really be a part of and be involved in their day-to-day lives. I am sweet, gentle and have a heart of gold. I will be the apple of your eye. Will you open your home and heart to me? I will repay you more than you can imagine. I know my foster family will be sad to see me go, but they will be happy to know that I am loved just as much as they loved me.
Oh…. There is one more unique thing about me that makes me even more special. I have one beautiful blue eye and one amber one. I might have a thin, small body, but its 90% heart and I LOVE to LOVE. I will snuggle with you, kiss you and love you for the rest of my life. I am one in a million and when you met me I think you will think so too.
Looking for love in all the right places………..Scooter.
