Scooter AKA Scootie Patootie is a sweet, shy boy who is learning to be brave in the big city! He is his best, happiest, most confident self when he has dog (and cat!) buddies in the home and he firmly believes that any excuse for a cuddle puddle is a good excuse. Scooter loves to be near his people, but he's also a champ at self-entertaining and will gladly spend time playing with his stuffies and working on treat puzzles! He's still very timid outside the home, but with ongoing positive reinforcement training we know he'll continue to open up and feel more comfortable out in the world! Scoot came to us from a hoarding situation and is under-socialized. We are searching for a home with a dog friend to help him build confidence. OTAT requires that all dogs 6 months and under be enrolled in a positive reinforcement training program within 2 weeks of their adoption at their adopter's expense. Scooter's adoption fee is $350. He is neutered, up to date on core vaccines appropriate for his age, and microchipped. He will need a heartworm test at 6-7 months of age, at the adopter's expense. *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program.
