Schmitty came to HUA after his owner moved to a place that did not allow dogs. He arrived with two other little dogs and they remain his friends. Schmitty is a shy little thing but he is so cute. He visits the sunroom on a regular basis and his tail untucks and his ear perk up in the presence of other dogs who are more confident than he is. Although a bit timid, he is very interested in people and he is always peeking around one corner or another to see what we are up to. Schmitty has now gotten brave enough to allow his caregivers to pick him up. It is just a matter of time before he loves the people in his new family. This little cutie walks well on his leash–it is something that is continuously improving as he really enjoys being out and about. We love Schmitty and we know the perfect home is out there for him. He’ll want a doggy sibling to help with his transition.
