Saxton

This gentle giant has had a rough start, but his luck has changed. Saxton was chained to a tree and left by his owner. His owner moved and left a note that he was no longer wanted. Hard to believe that such a sweet boy was left chained to the tree. He has the fly bites on his ears to prove his turmoil of being a chained dog.

Dogs do not fair well being chained, but this boy is a true gentle giant. Saxton is as sweet as sweet can be. When he was temperament tested, he took his treats with the most gentle care. Mind you he is about 30 pounds underweight. But he just wanted to be loved on and talked to. Somewhere along his life he was taught to sit and will sit there waiting for you to talk to him. Saxton does have an under bite but that just adds to his cute personality. He will smile at you if you talk to him.

He has found a Guardian Angel at the Animal Control who saw a light in his eyes. That Guardian Angel knew that he was something special with this handsome boy. Saxton would truly benefit with a forever home, a dedicated owner that will take him to formal obedience. He is not an unruly dog but he is going to be a big Rottweiler and he is one smart cookie.

Due to his size and age, we are only accepting applications for individuals who have older children. We would hate for him to accidentally knock over a small child. He is not anything but sweet, but he does not know his size.
