Good in a home with
Savannah was turned in to rescue because her owners had to move. She grew up with a child and would do good in a home with an older or calm child. She is completely bald and does require extra care for her soft sensitive skin. She is relaxing and doing amazing. She is a very sweet playful girl about 45 lbs.
She looks like a fawn with no hair. Very cute and loving. Her skin was in pretty bad shape (scrapes, scabs, and sunburn) due to being left outside with no protection and trying to get back into her yard after she had to go live at the neighbors house when her owners were moving.
She was also very thin when we got her (possibly from the stress of not knowing what was going on with her family-- just being alone with strangers can be frightening for a dog) and is still gaining weight.. So far she has gained about 5 lbs and is looking much better..
Overall Savannah is a great girl that would do great in a home with another dog to play with. She was actually turned in as a Hairless Peruvian Inca Orchid dog however aftrer reading the traits of the Xoloitzcuintli dog we believe they are pretty similar and she is probably either.. She does not have the large canine teeth as other breeds which is a trait of the Xoloitzcuintli dog. I don't kknow much about these hairless dogs so am learning a lot since I have had her. Regardless though of what she is she is a wonderful dog that would be great in any home..

Adoption fee $300 includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccinations, collar and tags, heartworm test (on dogs over 1 year old) Interceptor for the next month or if it is a puppy for when it is old enough, microchip, form to send in to Pedigree for $20 worth of free dog food, training DVD, training information, a discount on training with Custom K9 Performance, and all the support you need.
