This happy smiler is Saul, an incredibly relaxed and personable six year old Lab. As a companion, Saul is as comforting and heart warming as a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup on a snowy day.
Saul has a marvelously kind, gentle and tolerant temperament. He’s a lovable and loving boy who gets along great with other dogs and is very fond of the younger set; he was most certainly someone’s family pet at one point in his life. Saul is a perfect 80 pound unflappable, friendly gentleman who will happily shake your paw. He’s housetrained and a good boy when left alone in the house – no chewing or naughty shenanigans. Saul enjoys his walks with his foster mom and is almost downright frisky! He’s not much interested in toys, but is always ready to snooze at your feet or in a patch of sunshine.
This gentlest of souls was abandoned at a shelter where he was patiently suffering a massive, very painful ear infection. Our vet went to work on the severely neglected ear and we’re happy to report Saul’s ears are looking great. “After finally getting all better, I need a forever home where you’ll promise to stay on top of keeping my ears nice and clean!”
If there ever was a good natured, easy going Lab who could contentedly walk right into your life and settle into your heart, Saul is truly that very special boy!
