Sasha

Sasha is about 35 lbs and only 7 mos old, so we think she'll get as big as 45 lbs, like many American Water Spaniels, whom she resembles (She could also be a chocolate lab/ aussie mix--what do we know?). Sasha is extremely friendly to everyone, and she loves attention. She is smart, appears to be housebroken, and is eager to please. Sasha's family turned her in to the shelter -- perhaps they moved or perhaps when she got past the baby stage they lost interest in her.

No, she isn't really a Portugese Water Dog. The president couldn't do the right thing and adopt a shelter dog, but that doesn't mean we should imitate him!

Because of this animal's uncertain history, we assume he or she is not housebroken unless we have stated otherwise. However, most dogs are trainable and eager to please. ARF will happily advise prospective owners about crate training and the latest housebreaking tools.
