Sarge is a 5b year old Mastiff that is like a big baby. He loves people, is good with other dogs. Sarge was rescued from Greenville SC where his previous owner turned him in to local animal control because he had heartworms and they were not going to put any money into him. (Well that was obvious-they didn't use monthly heartworm preventive medication. Sarge is a great house dog, is crated trained (loves his extra large crate) and tries to crawl in your lap. Like most Mastiff's he is protective of his family and greets well when introduced. Sarge loves kids and would also make an excellent therapy dog-he is like a gentle giant. Sarge weighs in now at 165 pounds. Sarge was treated for his heartworms and is fully vetted --- just needs his family to find him. This boy is awesome and will be adopted to a Mastiff savvy family only.
ADOPTION FEE: $300 (fully Vetted and heartworm negative).

MEDICAL HISTORY:
Sarge is current on his vaccines, rabies shot, been neutered, has been treated for heartworms and on both heartworm and flea preventive.

All adoptions begin with completing the online application found at: www.canineshelterrescue.org Vet, personal, and groomer (if applicable) references will be required and will be checked
WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption fees differ from dog to dog and are non-negotiable. We accept CASH ONLY. Fees cover the vet care, quality food, and medications necessary to care for the dog while in our foster home. We are volunteers - no paid employees here! Fees and donations are the only means to support our continuing rescue efforts.

DO YOU ADOPT OUT OF STATE?
Yes, when it is the best home for the dog. Transportation arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the adopter in addition to the adoption fee. PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT TRANSPORT AIR FREIGHT PUPPIES YOUNGER THAN 6 MONTHS OR SMALLER THAN 8 LBS. YOU MUST PICK UP THESE PUPPIES.
