Arrival story: Sarah and her littermates have been living outside with their mom (a chocolate lab) for the past 8 wks. When mama's owner decided the pups needed to go, Waggin Tails offered to help out.
Approximate age / weight: Sarah is 10 weeks old. She was born July 5.
Personality: Sarah is a Chocolate lab with hazel eyes. She is very sweet. Diminutive Sarah is a curious and charming pup who likes to play and cuddle. She has an adventuresome spirit and likes to follow her little brown nose under bushes and big plants in the yard, checking out all the outdoors has to offer. Her adventurous nature has a James Bond quality to it. She adores leading human family members on a “catch me if you can” games where she hides under coffee tables and pokes her head out daring you to grab her only to scoot to the other side as soon as you do. She’ll let go of her merry prankster attitude for a cuddle and has shown a particular fondness for playing with children. Our little hazel eyed friend is social and friendly to people and other dogs but has yet to learn that the resident cat does not want to play tag with her. She has displayed good “starter skills” for housebreaking and is learning to accept a leash.
Forever home: Puppies are cute but please remember, they are a lot of work. Sarah will need training and socialization to ensure she grows into well mannered, adult dog. <Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years ), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
