Sapphire

I was named Sapphire for my beautiful ocean blue eyes! I just turned 4 years of age and am a very pretty small girl. I was placed in a home with my best friend Helen when we were both just pups. Our family can't keep us anymore and now we need to find new homes again. I am very neat and obedient, housetrained, love to play and like other canines. I adore kids too! I like to sit on the sofa and give kisses. As you can see, I also like to swim and lounge in the pool. When Miss Pati was first called to rescue me, I was found eating roadkill in the middle of the street. Miss Pati noticed how emaciated I was at such a young age. Then when I went into foster care I was not able to keep food down. My Doc said I had megasophogus, a condition that restricted my esophogus and would not allow my food to go down and be digested. I was literally starving to death. In fact, I needed expensive thoracic surgery and a local t.v. station did a story on me to help Dal Rescue raise the money needed to fix my problem. I felt like a movie star for a while! My Doc did a great job and now I just need some special care when eating. So, now you know my past and now I look for a brighter future. I am in a foster home right now and having fun, although I do miss my best friend Helen. I was her ears in our other home that sent us back. I really hope I can find a home where I can truly spend the rest of my life. If there's room in your life for a pretty blue-eyed girl like me, please give Miss Pati a call.
