My Story

Sandy is a 4 month old lab cross. Sandy came to New Hope with some loose ligaments over her joints and received rehab at the vet college to correct this problem. Sandy is finished with all of her rehab appointments and is doing just marvelously. A follow up appointment with her vet in 6-8 weeks will be covered by New Hope Dog Rescue. Sandy is one amazing girl! She is full of energy and life. She is a real character and full of personality, always searching for the biggest stick she can find to carry with her on her walks. Sandy loves to play with her toys and with people. In fact she will run up to people with her entire back end wagging! Sandy is great with other dogs and is learning to get along with her foster home’s two cats! Sandy loves to be outside, either going for walks or bike rides. She also adores playing fetch and just keeps bringing the ball back every time! Sandy is crate trained and sleeps through the night quietly in her crate. Sandy is quite an intelligent girl and listens extremely well. She is very food motivated so it makes training easy! She will also just quietly chew on her rawhide for hours. She already knows “sit” and “down” and is currently learning “roll over” and “stay”. Sandy would do best with an active person or family who can give her the love, play and attention she needs! Sandy really has a zest for life and always makes her foster family smile when they walk in the door.

Sandy is now taking a puppy obedience class with No Bad Dogs Obedience. If you adopt, you must finish her class with her. She's a STAR and does very well in this class!! Won't you come and see just how smart she is?

Sandy is currently fully vaccinated. Please note that we require that all adopters of puppies agree to take an obedience class. Thank you!
Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
