Samson arrived at the shelter just in time. Upon arrival, he was starved and very thin. On his 2nd day at the shelter, he suffered from a potentially life threatening illness called bloat and he required emergency surgery to repair a tear in his abdomen. During the surgery, a procedure was done to prevent future episodes. Samson is still on a limited diet, but is looking very forward to the day (in about another week) when he can eat normally again. He is a total luv bug and, even when he was miserable due to bloat, he is gentle and devoted. He will be neutered once he's put on enough weight. He is a really fun guy who would do well in an active household.
