Sampson is a purebred Bernese Mt Dog. He's very affectionate, gentle, plenty of energy but not hyper, as long as he gets sufficient exercise and attention. Likes to play tug and fetch. A great companion who wants to be by your side 24/7, loves to snuggle close. Fine with cats. Good with other dogs of any size if they are submissive, tho would not like another dog who tried to dominate him. . ~~ He's about 3-4 yrs old, in the prime of his life. ~~ Sampson can get stressed out if a stranger suddenly grabs at him. We prefer a calm, experienced, adult only home for Sampson. ~~ He is about 25" tall and about 85 lbs. He is very healthy, lean and well muscled. He is being fostered in upstate NY. ~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, and never those shock collar based "invisible fencing systems."
