Sammy is a charming fellow weighing 60 lbs with adorable white toes that add to his undeniable charm. Rescued from a euthanasia shelter, Sammy is now on the lookout for his forever home. While we may not know much about his past, one thing's for sure: Sammy has a heart full of love to give. His favorite pastimes include playing fetch and going on long walks (fabulous on leash!), making him the perfect buddy for an active lifestyle. He loves to walk:). He has become one of the STAF volunteers’ favorites. He has a dedicated walking team and another volunteer that brings Sammy to her home for a little rest and relaxation. Sammy is the perfect gentleman. With his playful energy and affectionate nature, Sammy is sure to bring joy and laughter into your life. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
