ADOPTED! - Hi everybody.....My name is Sammy! Just when I thought I'd be living happily ever after with my family, they decided they didn't want me any more. Now I'm really sad because I feel like no one loves me. I'm healthy, gentle, loving happy, and--at four years of age--I still have lots of good years of cuddling ahead of me. I'm a bit overweight at the moment. (I guess I ate too many Christmas cookies. I should weigh 20 lbs. but I'm closer to 25 lbs. at the moment. But now that the holidays are over, maybe we could take some invigating calorie-burning walks together. I bet we'd BOTH feel better, hu?) I'm very smart, and I am very good with other dogs (but I have fun chasing cats, so would probably do best in a cat-free home). I'm sweet and very well behaved, and all I ask is a nice loving home to enjoy with my new mom and/or dad. I am neutered and I'm up to date on immunizations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and wormed--so I'm all ready for a new lease on life! Did you know that there are lots advantages to adopting a healthy adult dog? I'm housebroken, I don't chew things up, and I don't require a lot of training and maintenance. I even know a few tricks, like "sit up" and "give me a high-five"! I don't want to be a latchkey dog, so an owner who is retired, works part time, or works out of his/her home would be ideal for me. I sure hope you will consider adopting me! My adoption fee is $250.
