I remember the dog park. I used to go there with my family sometimes. Beautiful green grass, and I loved to run and play with my family. I was a really good dog – never ever messed in the house, very gentle with all the children and I would hold very still and let them pet me, did as I was asked (most of the time), never begged at the table, ate all my dinner, never jumped up on people, slept where I was told to at night, and guarded the house diligently. But then one day my family changed. They were talking about "moving" and they took me to the shelter and moved without me. For over half a year, this was my world. I am thankful to be alive. I forgot what the world outside was like – I forgot that there was a world outside. Finally, I kind soul took me out of the shelter and told me I could live with her until she found me a forever home.
