My Story

Sam (03-024) is a basset male who was given up by his owners along with Missy (03-025) due to relocation. Sam has tested positive for heartworms and has begun treatment. Both dogs are beautiful, classic tri-color pair (mostly black) that are almost identical, even down to the white spot on the back part of their backs! Sam & Missy are about 5 years old, and they have to be littermates considering their likeness. Sam is a big boy with an attitude! He is always trying to protect his sleeping space from the others by letting out grumbly growl. He is mostly all talk because everyone ignores him and we have had no fights. Sam is very sweet and seems to be scared of thunderstorms. He is working on housetraining and obviously hasn't spent mush time inside before. We're still evaluating if Sam & Missy can be separated, but it doesn't seem likely since Sam seems very dependent on Missy. Neither dog jumps on people, and both love snacks, sleep ALOT, and are real cuties.
