Sage

The graceful little lady was found wandering in the Mid-City area with an injured hip ( ouch)! Her surgery was a resounding success, and Sage is now ready to find her forever family. Sage is an undemanding dog, for the most part. She likes her puffy dog bed, her treats ( American cheese rocks Sage's world!) and her people. She is fine with other dogs and amazingly, for a street dog, she seems housebroken. it is important to remember, though , that Sage was a street dog, most probably for quite a long time. Although she bonds hard to her people, her trust - particularly in strangers - is shaky. She needs an experienced owner or owners, and would probably do best as part of a "pack" in a dog-centric home. Sage is very healthy, and has a thick, luxurious coat that is a pleasure to stroke. Her face is winsome and inquisitive, with the distinctive Keeshond "spectacle" markings around her eyes. She likes walks and visits to the dog park, but she doesn't need intense exercise. And she is quiet! Sage is a wonderful dog who needs a second chance. Could you be her "knight" ot "knight-ess" in shining armor?
