My Story

Sadie, a 1 ½ year old female beautiful red & white Basset Hound was abandoned and spent six long weeks in a dog pound. She has been spayed, tested negative for heartworm, dewormed, free of fleas and her vaccines are all up to date. Sadie is housebroken but might have the occasional accident. Sadie has been crated trained. She sleeps in a crate at night and when no one is home. She is being fostered and living with 3 male bassets and is well socialized. She plays well with other dogs. She loves to run and chase the other dogs outside in the yard. Sadie has lived with small kids and a cat. Inside she entertains herself with her favourite toys: a nylabone ball, nylabone bone or a tug rope. She likes to look out the window and watch the birds, squirrels and people go by. Sadie is very curious and is a counter surfer like all food oriented dogs, so don’t leave food where she can reach! Sadie, like all Bassets, needs people contact and will do well with someone who stays or works at home. Given every opportunity she will cuddle with you on the couch or bed. Sadie has an amazing personality for having been through so much in her young life. She is a very happy girl and emits lots of love. She would be an amazing companion for nice children or another Basset! A natural clown, sweet Sadie is a true DREAM GIRL!
