My Story:
Talk about a special girl! My name is Sable, and I'm a Great Dane. I'm a rather large girl as I weigh 98#, but that's actually really underweight for my breed. I am very thin, but I know I'll be able to put on more weight once I get to my new home. I'm extremely gentle for my size. I came to the Shelter when my family moved into town and couldn't take me with them. It made me sad, but now I'm ready for a new home! I'm a housedog, and am very well trained. I walk very nicely on a leash. Even though I'm strong enough to take you anywhere I'd like to go, I always listen to what you tell me. I know commands, including sit, shake, down, stay, treat, toy, ride, outside, and bathroom. I'm housebroken, and my previous family could trust me in the house by myself when they had to be gone. I get along well with everybody, including children, other dogs, even cats. I love to sleep on the couch, and will even sit on your lap if you let me. I love to go for walks and car rides. I love to play, especially tug of war, because I usually win! You do have to be sure not to leave me outside by myself, as there's just too many things to explore and I'll take off on my own. I'm about 2 1/2 years old and am already spayed. I have a very calm personality, and would be a fantastic addition to just the right family. Please come to the Shelter and meet me.
