You can call me Saber or you can call me Sabre...I might respond. What do you expect - I'm a Pyr! We have very selective hearing. I'm a sweet girl who is a bit reserved and cautious when meeting new people. I do warm up quicker to women than men. The volunteers at AGPR have helped me learn that it is ok to trust other people and I'm getting better at it. Slowly but surely. I recently spent a little time with a foster dad and he let me get up on his bed to relax. I enjoyed that but found that the floor was a much cooler place to "chill". I ride well in a car and enjoy taking walks. I do pull a little - I think that is part of my nervousness when meeting new people. But I love to run and play in the yard, The volunteers continue to tell me I am a very pretty girl. They say I have "maybelline eyeliner" and silver tipped ears. They are so nice to me! I'm not a city girl. I'd really like to be in a calm home with a nice yard and an understanding neighborhood. I will bark at strangers because it is my job to protect you and our property. One last thing - I was in a home for a little while with cats and I DO NOT LIKE CATS. Sorry...but it is important for anyone thinking of adopting me to know that. And I recently told my AGPR friends that I really do not want to share my future home with another dog...I'd prefer to be the center of attention and get ALL the love and affection!
