Then check out this opportunity to FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT with Canine Haven Rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization in the GTA. We can only help bring these dogs out of the shelter and to Canada if we have a foster (or foster to adopt) home for them. Fostering is free, all supplies are provided, and you get the opportunity to help a deserving dog! If you foster to adopt, you will have the option to adopt after approximately 2 weeks. Ryder was a stray that showed up at a lady’s house and she called us for help as she couldn’t care for him. He’s a very loving boy who is longing for attention. If you talk to him he will actually listen intently and smile at you. He is shy at first as he is not exposed to many people so his new family will need to be patient as he adjusts and builds trust. He would do best in a home environment where he has a place to get exercise, a back yard or a good walking trail. A home with a yard isn’t necessary as long as his family is willing to ensure his daily exercise needs are met. Doggy enrichment and playtime for this young boy will keep him mind busy and out of trouble. His new family will need to be committed to his training as he is still young but he is eager to please and willing to learn. He is food motivated so this will make training easy and fun. Play based training can also help build a strong bond between him and his owner. He is energetic and fun loving which makes him an ideal family dog for older kids. Ryder would make the perfect and most loyal companion whether he is your personal sidekick or four legged addition to your family.
