This dog will be at Petsmart, 2440 E Charleston Rd, Mountain View, CA 94043 on Sat. 15th from 3:30-7:30 and Sunday from 11-2p or until adopted.
Ruthie was a favorite at the shelter. She shined like a star but with so many small dogs, she was often overlooked. But she caught our eye and luckily so as it was her last day. She is a Lhasa-Terrier mix who is about 10-12 months old. She weighs about 22lbs but you don't realize that until you pick her up. She likes to say that she holds her weight well!
Ruthie gets along well with other dogs. She can be a bit shy at first but when she gets her bearings, she loves to play with them. She's an option to go to the dog park or dog beach. Ruthie loves to be with her people. She is perfectly happy to follow her foster mom around the house and wait until Mom sits so she can plop herself down right next to her. After all, Mom usually has good food! Ruthie doesn't mind the cats in her foster home either. She just leaves them alone. She is a great option for kids. She gets along great with them and because of her stocky size she is an option for kids who are new to dogs.
Ruthie has a beautiful wire coat that will not require grooming but the occasional bath will suffice. She will not be a heavy shedding dog either. Yahoo!
