Ruth is a lovely Boxer female who is Fawn and White with a delicate white blaze on her sweet face. She has a white "scarf" around her neck that extends down onto her chest. Ruth is a beautiful Boxer!
Ruth was picked up as a stray and held to see if she would be claimed. A friend of CSR got Ruth out of this high kill shelter the day after she came "off hold". Transportation arrangements were made and Ruth was brought to safety on 1/17/07.
Ruth rode for several hours to her new home and quietly enjoyed the ride.
Ruth is a gentle sweet natured Boxer who is Very thin. She likes the warm sweaters her foster mom put on her bony body.
Ruth does the Boxer wiggle, gives wonderful kisses and loves to snuggle.
Even though Ruth's body shows she was starving, she is not food aggressive. She eats eagerly yet gently.
Ruth walks well on lead. Ruth is a stay home body, she went under a slight bend in the fence since her sweater kept her from the warning of the "hot" fence to stay back. Ruth was seen just sniffing around near her foster mom and came right up when called to "Come". The fact that Ruth just stayed close by makes me wonder if Ruth had been dumped off by someone.
Ruth now has a dry, warm, safe place to regain her strength and put on some much needed pounds. She is eating several times a day and enjoying the freedom to run around and sniff in the fenced yard. Ruth should gain weight quickly now.
UPDATE: 2/2/2007
Ruth gained the weight she needed and has been Spayed. Ruth Tested Heartworm Positive and is scheduled for treatment. She will be ready for adoption is approx. 6 weeks.
Ruth loves her warm sweater on even though she is living in the house. She is a very sweet snugly little home body!
Ruth will only be adopted as a valued inside family member to a home where the Boxer is appreciated.
