Rusty came to the shelter from the Rt. 2565 area of Louisa. He actually showed up at a residence and wearing a blue nylon collar, the family thought he probably belonged to someone but he never left. Rusty is very well-mannered and very sweet. And though he could be strong by his build, he is very gentle by nature. He is quite the looker with his shiny black coat and tan markings. It is obvious he has been well-taken care of and hopefully someone is looking for him. If not, he will be available for adoption. It is estimated Rusty is around 1 year of age and weighs approx. 50 lbs. He is stouty built but he is just a big teddy bear at heart.
