Ruger is currently fostered for the SPCA. His foster mom is going away for 8 weeks, so he will need another place to stay until she comes back. If interested in fostering or adopting Ruger, please contact the Augusta SPCA.

Ruger is 18 months old and weighs about 84 lbs. He is a white with gray, neutered male Maremma Sheepdog/Great Pyrenees mix who came to the shelter as a stray.

Ruger is friendly, furry, and very lovable! Ruger enjoys human companionship and playing games--give this guy a nice big yard to run in and make sure he gets his exercise!
Ruger interacts well with other dogs, cats, and children. Ruger would be a great family pet but may be best in a household with older children. He also enjoys car rides! It should be noted that Ruger is very protective of his home which he regards as his territory and everyone who resides within his territory.

The adoption fee would be $110. He is already neutered and current on all vaccines. SHELTER HOURS are 11:00am 4:00pm Monday - Friday and 11:00am 6:30pm Wednesday. We welcome adoptions from people living out of the area or outside the state of Virginia. The application process is completed in person at the shelter.
