Ruger is a male spaniel type pup born 1/10/24. He was placed as a puppy by his previous owner but later returned when his new family was not able to keep him. He is just over 28 lbs at 6 months so we believe he will mature at 30-35 lbs. He is shy but wants to warm up. He loves to follow his person around and jump up for love and kisses. He looks just like a tiny golden retriever, so cute. He would thrive in a quieter home where he can learn to trust and socialize at a slower pace as his previous owner has not done much. He likes other dogs and would do best withough small children and fast movements. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check.
