ADOPTED - Although he is 10 years old, he is a very active dog and Rufus would be a wonderful addition a family with older children (or no children). He is neutered, fully crate trained and house trained and travels well (loves the car, and has even flown on an airplane!). He loves going out for walks, playing in the snow, swimming, and playing fetch. He has a healthy appetite, although he is currently on a low-fat dog food to maintain a healthy weight as he ages. Rufus obeys commands such as sit, stay, lie down, and shake-a-paw. He is very loyal to his family. Rufus is not a barker but will let you know when someone comes for a visit and the doorbell rings. He also loves belly rubs and will follow his person around the house. Rufus is good with other dogs and loves to play he is also good with cats.
