Ruby

Ruby has a sad history, but a wondurful future now that she has been rescued! Ruby is a Korean Jindo dog who was given to her owner as a "gift" by his boss. Although he did not want Ruby, he chose to not adopt her out for fear his boss would find out. When the owner moved into a new home, Ruby was moved to unoccupied property and tied out on a cable. She was left alone, unable to defend herself as she remained exposed to the elements and other dangers.

Fortunately for Ruby, the owner's brother-in-law discovered what was going on and contacted us right away. He was able to cut Ruby from the cable and bring her to us where she received the first medical care in her 6 years! She was given a Well Pet Exam, vaccines, flea control, worming medication, and was spayed.

Ruby has been assessed by many people- all agree that she will be a wonderful and faithful companion! She will need to go to a home with no other dogs and will need to be observed with any potential cat siblings. She needs to be placed in a home with no children.

Ruby loves to go on walks and enjoys visiting canine friends as long as it happens on neutral territory! She is an Alpha female and will demonstrate so when another dog comes to visit her at her home. She is not agressive, just dominent. She is a gentle dog who will bond tightly with a human companion.
