Fence required! Introducing Roxy, the fabulous 12-year-old Great Dane diva who has more sass and spunk than most pups half her age! Rescued by NWFLGDR from the Tallahassee animal shelter after she and another male great Dane were surrendered by their owner due to neglect, this blue beauty is now living her best life in foster care despite a few “senior moments” from time to time! Despite her royal diva status, Roxy's had her fair share of dental drama.. she came to us with severely rotten, infected teeth. But thanks to some fancy surgery and tooth removal (canine Invisalign), she's back to ruling the roost with her now impeccable breath and majestic smile. Living it up in foster care with her trusty sidekick Boss, a 5 year old male Great Dane, and a foster dad who's learning to keep up with her antics, Roxy's proving that age is just a number – even if she occasionally forgets she's not a sprightly pup anymore. With a bark louder than her royal decree and a knack for escaping backyards faster than Houdini himself, Roxy's adventures have taken her on unexpected journeys through the woods. (No joke… she ran three miles along a creek in just a matter of hours after escaping through a small space under the fence of her foster dad’s backyard on her day of arrival! So she really is smart.) Someone really needs to remind her she's 12 and not auditioning for the next Great Dane Olympics. Despite her diva tendencies, Roxy's heart is as big as her appetite for treats and attention! She absolutely adores affection and will stand for hours on end if it means you’re paying attention to her! She may be a little picky about her meds (who likes pill pockets anyway?), but with her stubborn determination, she's sure to charm her way into your heart.
