Rox

...ADOPTED!...ROX. Basenji /Shep/Corgi mix, 25 pounds, 6 years old. Rox is gentle, quiet, friendly, affectionate and exudes an aura of being at peace with the universe. He enjoys the company of other dogs and completely ignores the cats in his foster home. He LOVES to be outside and gets excited when shown a leash. He positively capers with happiness when he knows he is going to be with humans. Rox was one of the canine victims of a very ugly breakup. He was not ill-treated, but was neglected and given no attention while his humans split up. When the couple separated, neither wanted Little Fellow -- they both wanted to "start fresh." Rox, who adored them and gladly would have joined his either of his humans in their new lives, was given no choice in the matter, so now he is going to start fresh, too. We are committed to finding him a home where he will be lavished with the special love and attention he deserves. If you can provide such a home, you will find that Rox will return your love and affection many times over. Since Rox has no experience with children, we will probably not place him in a home with children under six. This is not a reflection on his character, which is sweet, gentle and loving, just our policy in such cases. Rox is, according to our best guess, part Basenji and part fox terrier. To answer the inevitable question we receive with Basenji mixes, he does bark and sheds as much but no more than the average dog with his coat length.
