Meet Rose, the endearing 8-week-old puppy with a heart as blooming as her name. Rose, along with her three siblings, found their way to our shelter from Oakland Animal Services, where they were discovered as strays. This petite sweetheart, currently tipping the scales at around 12 pounds, is a true love bug and an absolute joy to have around.
As Rose blossoms and grows, she's expected to reach a full-grown size between 40-65 pounds, making her a spirited and sizable companion. Rose is on the lookout for a family ready to embrace the joys and challenges of raising a large and active dog. As an infant, she hasn't undergone formal training yet, so her forever family must be devoted to providing structure, ample exercise, and consistent socialization.
Owning a puppy like Rose demands a committed full-time effort, especially in the initial year. We believe in turning all our dogs into ambassadors for rescue, and Rose is no exception. While there will be hurdles to overcome, including house training, chewing, crate training, and leash manners, the rewards of having a loving companion are immeasurable.
The ideal home for Rose is one with plenty of time, ensuring she won't be left alone for more than four hours a day. A house with a yard and a second dog for companionship and learning would be a perfect fit. As Rose completes her shots (minimum 3 rounds) before 17 weeks of age, outdoor public walks will become a regular part of her routine.
Assist us in finding Rose her forever home – a place where she'll receive the love, training, and care she richly deserves. If your family is prepared for the joys and responsibilities of raising a puppy, consider making Rose a cherished member of your household.
