Rose

Introducing Rose…she is about 3 yrs old & weighs 61 pounds. Rose came to the Pound in early January & she has been slow to warm up to people. Her home environment had been pretty turbulent and she takes some time to trust. Over the last couple of weeks she has been starting to accept love from more & more people. We have held off on doing any testing or assessments with her…but as you can see from the video on our FB page (Dogs of Del Norte County) she is starting to come out of her shell. Once you gain her trust, she walks nicely on a leash, and loads well into a vehicle. She has some basic commands and loves to play fetch. We have tested her in our dog-run with several dogs and she seems to do the best with males & females that are smaller than her. We will keep you posted on her progress. She would do best in a structured home environment with an experienced owner. Rose is currently in a foster home, please contact us if you are interested in Rose.
