Roscoe

Roscoe is a handsome 2-year-old pup who was found in a warehouse with two other dogs. He is spending time in a foster home and doing very well. He really enjoys getting out for walks and hikes and is well-behaved as long as he has enough exercise. He is a very loving dog who adores his people. He is a big (70 lbs.), goofy guy who needs obedience training, so we think he would do best in a home with older kids. He loves treats, playing fetch, and long walks. He does not like spending time alone and really doesn't like being in a crate so he would probably do best with someone that works from home. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption, but there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs five years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you want to be considered for a dog you see in our care. With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
