Need a swimming buddy? Here's the dog for you.

Rosco is approx. 2 1/2 years old in these pictures taken September 2, 2006. He and his pal, Magnum, were rescued from his owner because she is now on drugs and does not take care of them. She used to take very good care of them we were told and always made sure they had there shots and everything else they needed. When Rosco came to us, his collar had started to grow into his neck. A volunteer was able to remove it. He was so good during the whole thing.

Rosco is a wonderful and loving dog with a BIG warm heart to go along with his infectious smile. Who couldn't smile after seeing this big guy's smile. Rosco is such a happy dog. He is always so happy and excited to see you. There hasn't been one person that he has met that he hasn't liked. We believe that he would be great with older children, as he has a tendency to jump when excited and may knock down a small child. He gets along with other dogs. Rosco is just a BIG Teddy Bear though.

Rosco does pretty well on a leash. Loves to be next to you. He will jump a regular chain link so he needs a home with a 6 foot privacy fence. We have found out that Rosco LOVES the water. Need a swimming buddy? Here's the dog for you.

Here is what the person who rescued him knows about him (She knew his owner). Rosco loves children and taking walks. He enjoys playing ball, with toys, and in the water. Rosco digs a bit but it is because he wasn't getting enough exercise. He does not like cats but does get along well with other dogs.

All of the volunteers have fallen in love with Rosco and Magnum who are both very sweet and smart boys. Such great dogs!
