Roland

Roland is an approximately 11 pound mini poodle, neutered male; around 10-12 years old. He's been through quite the journey. Originally from a puppy mill and went to one of our foster homes. While there, a neighbour's dog jumped over the fence and attacked Roland. He suffered numerous injuries and has some issues because of that attack. His airway was affected and now he has a deep honky cough that comes serval times a day. Could be caused by pleural thickening and the hiatal hernia seen on the ultrasound. His ribs were also fractured but have since healed. Roland can be shy and skittish but he does warm up. He is not vocal or destructive when left alone. He does not like to be crated and will paw excessively on the front of the crate. His housetraining is coming along although he still lifts his leg sometimes in the home. He is good with other dogs but will often try and eat their food them if not separated He has a low thyroid and is on meds for the 2x per day approximately 60.00 per month. Roland is a great chap and is learning to walk on leash now which took a while b/c of all the surgeries and injuries he sustained, he could not wear a collar or a harness. During his dental he lost all of his teeth due to severe decay and rotting. He had 2 fistulas that were repaired and now successfully healed over
